Nine days of non-stop preservation!

Another week-long working party has just been completed at the Electric Railway Museum. With excellent weather, many tasks were undertaken, both on vehicles and around the site.

The BDT of one of the Museum's class 309s has had its bodywork treated and is now fully painted in red oxide to protect it until a colour scheme for the unit is agreed.

The DMS of the Museum's 2-EPB also received extensive attention. The roof has been completed in black bitumen paint, all doors and window mechanisms have been checked and freed, and the broken window replaced. Additionally, the exposed area of the roof of the DTS was covered using a recycled Chelsea Flower Show banner from our friends at Octink.
