Electric Railway Museum is pleased to announce its public Open Weekends for 2012 taking place during selected weekends in April, June, July and September!

Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 April

Enthusiasts Weekend


Join us to celebrate the return to traffic of Heysham Power Station battery locomotive 'Doug Tottman'. This event will be all electric with the shunting demonstrations in the hands of both our operational electric locomotives.

Technology Weekend


Electric Railway Museum will hold a display celebrating some of the advances in technology in the last 60 years since the accession of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Good Old Days Weekend


A weekend looking back to a different time when there were no mobile phones, no games consoles and television was only for the rich.

Heritage Open Weekend


Electric Railway Museum joins the nationwide event whereby numerous buildings, museums and sites are opened to the public so they may explore the nation's heritage. More information about Heritage Open Days can be found here.
